Staff Pedigree

Recently I was asked to advise on My choice of Staff households and their occupants. Since this is a question of vital importance to all Felines, I thought I should outline the following attributes for your evaluation.

Check your Staff for the following:

Desirable Staff Attributes

Cleanliness and grooming: Neat, clean Staff generally possess neat, clean households – essential for the Fastidious Feline. Basic Litter Tray training is essential.

Temperament: Pleasant, Calm, Low maintenance, Actively interested in your activities. These natural attributes assist in further training. Staff who exhibit 'distemper' have generally spent too much time with the Dogs!

Manners: Staff should aspire to be polite, courteous, and responsive to your needs at all times.

Appearance: Bright Eyes, Alert Ears, Healthy Skin. Although not essential, these attributes assist with attentiveness to your needs.

Domestic Shorthair and Domestic Longhaired Staff are equally desirable.

Undesirable Attributes

Avoid: rabid canine keepers, bird fanciers and devotees of small rodents (not a food source). Furthermore, never encourage these signs of Staffer madness.

Pedigree and Non-Pedigree Staff

Ideally, your Staff will be accredited with generations of well documented training.

Pedigree Staff possess:

1 A recorded family lineage of excellent Cat Staffing.

2 Proven Staff handling techniques for Felines.

A Pure-bred Staff member has been selectively reared over generations of Feline households to ensure effortless reliability and dedication. Rumoured to exist only in the highest establishments, I have yet to find one!

Non-pedigreed Staff, although not possessing accredited generations of documented family history, may still exhibit extensive knowledge and experience – quite adequate for most Feline households.

In addition, Cross Bred Staff who exhibit desirable traits such as improved temperament and agility, can be very effective.

Puurrfectly yours,

Aunty Holly
