Staff Riddle
Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 15:25 Question: How many Staff does it take to update My blog page?
Give up? (I almost did!)
Answer: None! They are all completely incapable of independent thought!!! It takes a Feline!
To My utter disbelief, I have recently learnt that My Staff have been sadly neglecting one of their most important tasks – that of endowing the blogosphere with My Pearls of Wisdom. Despite my excessive tolerance to their insolent behaviour, dismissing their off the cuff slurs “ They're not 'Pearls of Wisdom', they're Piles of....” with regal grace, I could no longer tolerate this situation.
Whilst I have exercised more than exemplary tolerance and understanding of their difficulties inherent in all Staff shortages, this must stop. I have insisted that they at least contribute one offering at the beginning of each week.
It is important:however, to note that I am not alone in my abandonment.
Maine Coon 'Matisse' is at the point of exasperation.
“Aunty Holly I have a roll-call of exuberant and artistic Staff who find my needs lacking in 'artistic merit'. Unfortunately I can no longer appreciate their talents whilst having to eat off old paint palettes. How can I purrsuade Staff that cleanliness is next to Purrfection?”
My Dear Matisse! How purrfectly dreadful. It is not unusual to have a harmonius relationship with Staff who exhibit artistic tendancies, take the late Mr Hemmingway, for instance. Felines in your predicament; however, need to encourage a more refined minimalist approach in order to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
Try tipping the odd wet paint brush over and onto the canvas. Complement this with surrounding clutter, most paper objects will stick well to wet paint and before long you will have created a collage Catastrophe! Within no time, they will be ripping up the canvas and declaring themselves 'avante guard minimalists', with a clean and clear approach. At least that will give you a more agreeable surface to eat off, and hence a greatly more successful artwork!
Purrfectly yours,
Aunty Holly

I profit greatly from your "Pearls of Wisdom"--were it not for you, I would still be feeding my cat from a bowl on the floor!
